Easy to store from your application
While never leaving the familiar environment of Windows Explorer, users have direct access to DocuWare’s store dialog – without needing a separate DocuWare installation. This helps those who might only be occasional users of DocuWare because now they can work as usual. With Windows Explorer Client, DocuWare simply appears as another drive choice in Explorer; the file cabinets work like file folders. From nearly every application, it’s easy to store documents by using the Save As function - right onto the virtual DocuWare drive and safely into a DocuWare file cabinet. The big bonus: folder names are automatically used as indexing terms for the archived document. The document is securely placed in a file cabinet and is easy to retrieve at any time. As an alternative, documents may also be moved via drag & drop from any folder of the file directory into a DocuWare folder for indexing and filing. Even entire folders, their sub-folders and documents they contain can be moved into DocuWare for quick archiving.

Use the Open feature
When a user needs to retrieve a certain document, that’s easy too; it’s just a matter of seconds - simply use the Open feature or Windows Explorer to quickly navigate to the document. It can then be opened for viewing or further editing.
Windows Explorer Client - easy and secure
Windows Explorer Client is secure as well. Users are navigating through a virtual file directory and not within the actual storage locations containing the archived documents. All DocuWare file cabinet and user rights apply. The documents stored via Windows Explorer Client in a tamper-free manner are also immediately accessible to authorized users worldwide using, for example, Web Client. Searches can be conducted with indexing criteria or via fulltext. Documents that were opened with DocuWare Windows or Web Client may also be quickly stored using the Save As function of the current program saving it as another version in the archive. Users may seamlessly switch between DocuWare Client and Windows Explorer Client to work as efficiently as possible.
