DocuWare Announces the Certification of the Canon CR-180 Check
NEWBURGH, NY — December 19, 2003 —DocuWare has completed certification testing of the Canon CR-180, a compact check transfer device able to scan both sides of a check and recognize magnetic ink characters using its built-in magnetic head. With a scanning rate of 180 checks per minute and its Magnetic Ink Character Recognition, or MICR, the scanner can be utilized to extract all the information needed to index the scanned documents.

VOI’s Market Survey on Document Management in Germany
NEWBURGH, NY – December 08, 2003 – According to a representative survey conducted by the market research organization VOI, 13% of all German companies are currently planning to introduce a document management system (DMS) in the future. Those corporations already using a DMS feel their systems have lived up to their expectations, with 45% of the DMS projects paying for themselves within the first year of operation. Based on the enormous market potential for DMS, DocuWare AG forecasts that it will be able to continue the success it has enjoyed over the last few years in 2004. The VOI study puts the German software producer at rank #3 in the DMS industry.
